I have a Linkstation NAS which uses Samba so I'm going to give this a shot. One question I have is if you want to restore from a Time Machine via the installation discs (lets say your HD crapped Time Machine backups, remote backup to another NAS off-site, etc., would be great, but we won't be using it for iTunes/movie/security camera/etc. Just file sharing.
