The utility cocktail (and probably others) have an option to Purge inactive memory and optimize virtual page usage which seems to have the same effect. I think there's been some debate around this, but personally I don't understand why the memory manager keeps so much inactive memory unavailable while the system starts swapping. Oct 26, 2017 · If its using more than 15% of your memory, you probably have an issue with an app on your PC. To stop Runtime Broker from using so much memory, select Runtime Broker in the list, select End task to close Runtime Broker, and then restart your computer.
Oct 17, 2015 · It looks like it's using a lot of memory, but really both isn't using all that much, and is using it for good reason. Like Windows, it doesn't want to waste memory which could be improving
